Sameka Shakelton Foundation (SSF‑Global) is a community‑based humanitarian organization founded by Lilia Y. Shakelton and Benjamin Shakelton , based in Maryland, USA. Established seven years ago in direct response to the escalating Anglophone–Francophone crisis in Cameroon, SSF was legally formalized 2½ years ago to scale and sustain our lifesaving work.

Our Mission

Our mission is to rescue, protect, and empower women, girls, and displaced boys affected by conflict and crisis, restoring dignity and creating pathways to safety, education, health, and economic independence. We deliver emergency relief, trauma‑informed care, skills training, school‑fee support, and community reintegration services to internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Cameroon’s Northwest and Southwest regions and to vulnerable communities locally and abroad.
